Why do I need to pay a delivery/customs fee for my order coming into the country?

If your order is being shipped from outside your country, it may be subject to customs duties, import VAT, or handling fees before it can be delivered. These charges are determined by your countries customs regulations and are not included in the original purchase price, usually 2.5% original price.

You’ll typically be contacted by the delivery courier (e.g. Royal Mail, DHL, FedEx) to pay the fee before your parcel is released for delivery. The exact amount will depend on the value and type of goods you’ve ordered, as well as the country of origin. Please note that refusal to pay the fee may result in the parcel being returned to the original send point or destroyed by customs.
